Man pleads guilty to multiple vehicle offences in Hemel Hempstead |

A man has pleaded guilty to multiple vehicle crime offences committed in #HemelHempstead. David Garrett, aged 24, from Warners End Road in the town, was arrested on Wednesday morning (7 January) following the theft of a motor vehicle from a residential driveway overnight. Several vehicle interferences were also reported on the same evening. He was detained after police received a report into the control room that a vehicle was being driven erratically in Hemel Hempstead. The vehicle was located and followed by officers from Response team before it eventually came to a stop after the tyres deflated. The case was picked up by detectives in the Crime Investigation Department (CID) and Garrett was subsequently charged with: • Four counts of vehicle interference • Theft of a motor vehicle • Dangerous driving • Driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence • Driving with no insurance He appeared before Hatfield Magistrates’ Court on Thursday (8 January) where he pleaded guilty to all offences. He was remanded into custody ahead of a sentencing hearing at St Albans Crown Court on Friday 30 January.
